1Go to the "Applications" folder and double-click "System Preferences." Select the "Energy Saver" icon.

Adjust the "Computer sleep" and "Display sleep" slide bars to change the time when the computer will go into sleep mode. If you are on a portable, use the tabs at the top of the screen to adjust the sleep mode times for when the computer is running from the battery or the power adapter.

Click the "Schedule" button and enter a specific time for the computer to wake up or sleep, if desired.
