Explore the campus in this Flagler College photo tour! Flagler College is a private liberal arts college located in historic St. Augustine, a popular tourist town on the northeast coast of Florida. The school is four miles from the Atlantic, and Jacksonville is 35 miles to the north. The college first opened its doors in 1968. Despite the school's short history, it features many historic buildings.

The campus's main structure, Ponce de Leon Hall, was originally the Hotel Donce de Leon, built by Henry Flagler in 1888. The college has a 20 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of about 22 students. Flagler College frequently ranks highly for providing a quality education at a low price. Indeed, Flagler's tuition is a fraction of the cost of most private liberal arts colleges.

"Flagler College is a small private, residential college located in historic St. Augustine, Florida. The centerpiece of its campus is the former Hotel Ponce de León, a grand hotel constructed in 1888 by Henry M. Flagler, industrialist, philanthropist, railroad pioneer, and developer of the east coast of Florida. The Hotel Ponce de León serves as an enduring reminder of Mr. Flagler’s enterprise, diligence, and commitment to excellence. The College is committed to the preservation of the hotel and other historic structures that grace its campus.

The mission of Flagler College is to educate and prepare students for productive careers, graduate and professional studies, and informed, responsible citizenship. Flagler College emphasizes teaching and scholarship; promotes intellectual and personal growth; and provides high-quality education in a caring and supportive environment that capitalizes on its historic, coastal location and its beautiful campus.
