- 1). Remove the rubber covers on the hinges located on either side of the laptop.
- 2). Dust off the exposed hinges with the rag. This process will make it easier to tighten the hinges.
- 3). Tighten the screws using the screwdriver. Apply enough pressure to keep the hinges stiff, but not so stiff that you are unable to open and close the laptop.
- 4). Replace the rubber coverings.
