- 1). Turn off your Acer 3680 and remove the power cord. Close the screen and turn the computer upside-down.
- 2). Unplug the battery from its compartment on the bottom of the computer.
- 3). Turn the computer right-side up and open the screen.
- 4). Locate the four screws on the top of the screen bezel and the two screws on the bottom corners of the bezel. This is the plastic frame which surrounds the LCD screen. Remove all six screws.
- 5). Use your fingers to gently pry the bezel off of the screen by the sides and corners. Set the bezel aside.
- 6). Remove the three screws on the bottom of the LCD screen and the two screws on the top corners and set the screws aside.
- 7). Pull the screen slightly forward and unplug the ribbon cable where it connects to the back of it.
- 8). Remove the screws from the brackets on either side of the screen and remove the screen from the computer.
- 9). Fit a new screen into the brackets and plug the ribbon cable into the port in the back of the screen. Reassemble the computer by reversing the order in which you took it apart.
