- 1). Pour the granular Weed Stop into a rotary spreader and configure the settings to spread approximately 3.6-pounds of Weed Stop every 1,000 square feet of yard.
- 2). Spread the Weed Stop during the morning while the grass remains wet from the dew. Otherwise, wait until after it rains to apply the chemical. The moisture on the grass helps the Weed Stop stick to the blades of the grass and improves the level of weed killing. In addition, spread the Weed Stop when the wind is calm. This will prevent the wind from blowing the granular off the grass.
- 3). Walk the rotary spreader up and down your lawn just as you would a lawnmower. Walk at a speed that allows even distribution of the granular. Avoid skipping areas and excessive overlapping.
- 4). Brush the granular off of any foliage or vegetation you do not wish to affect, such as flowers you plan to keep.
