- 1). Wipe the marble tile down thoroughly to remove all residues.
- 2). Sand the marble tile until it is smooth. If there are any indentations, smooth the inside of them out as well, but do not sand the surrounding tile down to the same level as the bottom of the indentation.
- 3). Use painter's tape to mark off any edges of the marble tile that meet another surface.
- 4). Wipe the marble tile down again to remove the dust from sanding.
- 5). Apply a coat of primer to your marble tile following the manufacturer's directions, using a small paint roller.
- 6). Make a decision about the color you want your tile to be. Apply an even layer of the spray stone finish to the marble tile and allow the finish to dry according to the manufacturer's directions.
- 7). Pour a small amount of polymer resin into a disposable cup and pour it slowly on the marble tile. If the polymer resin drips, use the paint scraper to push it back into place. Apply a generous coating of the polymer resin and allow it to cure per the manufacturer's directions. The polymer resin will fill in any blemishes and they will become unnoticeable.
