- 1). Unroll the Tyvek across the surface you are covering with the fabric. If you are covering a house, for example, start in a specific corner and unroll the material in a straight line, stapling as you go.
- 2). Cut openings in Tyvek by cutting an "X" across the area. If you are cutting the opening for a window or door, fold the material back and wrap the casing of the window or door with the material and fasten it to the inside of the area.
- 3). Cut the Tyvek away from the roll by drawing a straight line down the length of the material. Use a level or straight edge to guide the cut and slice the material with a utility knife along the line.
- 4). Cover seams and cut sections with Tyvek joint tape to seal the material together.
