- 1). Open the door and remove the knob already installed on the inside of the door. Locate the set screw holding it in place and match it up with the proper size Allen wrench. Turn it counterclockwise with the Allen wrench and loosen. Pull out the screw and remove the knob from the door.
- 2). Fasten the outside trim plate to the inside lock with No. 8 machine screws using a flathead screwdriver. Line up the trim plate on the outside of the door and screw it in place through the provided holes.
- 3). Install the deadbolt cylinder. Insert No. 10 machine screws through the deadbolt mounting plate and into the door at the provided hole locations with a flathead screwdriver.
- 4). Slide the inside trim plate over the inside lock housing and snap it into place by hand. Engage the deadbolt spindle into a thumb turn. Install the inside knob over the stem and tighten the set screw down in place with an Allen wrench.
- 5). Install the inside and outside trim plates to the door with No. 8 wood screws using a Phillips head screwdriver. Tighten both down in place through the provided holes.
