Install Windows Updates

• 1). Click on the "Start" menu, and then click "Control Panel."

• 3). Select when you want updates automatically installed from the drop-down menu, and then click "OK." Microsoft recommends that you choose to install updates "Every day."
  
  

Install and Run Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool

• 1). Download the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (see "Resources" section below).
  
  
• 2). Click "Download," and then select "Run." The Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool window will open.
  
  
• 3). Select "Full Scan," and click "Next." The Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool will now detect and remove viruses from your computer.
