- 1). Insert your Windows XP CD into the drive.
- 2). Restart your computer. Wait for the "Press Any Key to Boot from CD" message and press the space bar on your keyboard when it appears. The "Windows XP Professional Setup" screen appears.
- 3). Press "Enter" to install Windows XP.
- 4). Read the End User License Agreement and press "F8" to agree.
- 5). Press "D" to delete existing partitions and "L" to confirm the deletions.
- 6). Press "Enter" to install Windows XP on your unpartitioned hard drive.
- 7). Select "Format the Partition Using the NTFS File System" and press "Enter." Windows will go through the formatting process and will reboot.
- 8). Follow the instructions to complete Windows XP setup.
