- 1). Click "Start" and "Programs," then locate "Accessories." Click on "System Tools," then "System Restore." Once on the welcome screen, you will see two options:
1. Restore my computer to an earlier time
2. Create a restore point - 2). Click on the radio button identified as "Create a Restore Point," then click "Next." Type in a description of your choosing, then click on "Create." A new restore point will be created.
- 3). To automatically restore your computer, click "Start," then "Programs." Locate "Accessories" and click on "System Tools," then click on "System Restore." Select the radio button "Restore My Computer to an Earlier Time" and click "Next." Select a date (year, month and day, which must be bold) from the calendar, then select the restore point name from the list and click "Next." A warning pop-up will ask if you are sure. Click "OK," then "Next." Your system will restore to the date and time you selected.
- 4). If you inadvertently restored and want to undo your action, click "Start," then "Programs" and locate "Accessories." Next click on "System Tools," then "System Restore." On the welcome screen, select "Undo My Last Restoration," then click "Next" and "OK." Confirm by clicking "Next" and perform a computer restart.
