- 1). Go to "Start." Choose to shut down or turn off your computer.
- 2). Turn on your computer, while pressing down "F8" on your keyboard.
- 3). Use your down arrow keys and select "Safe Mode" On the "Advanced Options" Screen. Hit "Enter."
- 4). Windows will load with the word safe mode on all four corners of the screen. Wait for the "Windows is running in safe mode" dialog box and click "Yes" to proceed in safe mode.
