- 1). Right-click the icon of a file for which you want to change a program association. Select "Open With" from the resulting menu and then select the "Choose Default Program" option.
- 2). Click the name of the program you want to use if it appears in the "Recommended Programs" or "Other Programs" lists. To find a program not included in these lists, click the "Browse" button and navigate to the folder containing your desired program. Once you find the program, click its icon and then click "Open."
- 3). Check the box near the bottom of the screen labeled "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" after selecting your program. Click "OK." The reader or program associated with the selected file type has been successfully changed.

Find a program not included in these lists by clicking the "Browse" button and navigating to the folder containing your desired program. Once you find the program, click its icon and then click "Open."
- 5). Check the box near the bottom of the screen labeled "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" after selecting your program. Click "OK." The reader or program associated with the selected file type has been successfully changed.
