- 1). Mix about a cup of bleach and a cup of water in the spray bottle.
- 2). Spray the solution over the line between the sink and the laminate of the countertop. Let it dry for an hour.
- 3). Put your caulk tube into the caulk gun. Cut the end of the tube diagonally, to make a hole about 1/4-inch wide. Slide a long nail into the hole, breaking the seal inside.
- 4). Hold the cut tip of the tube against the line where the sink meets the laminate of the counter. Angle the gun back at about 45 degrees. Squeeze the trigger to push the caulk up and out.
- 5). Pull the caulk gun along the seam between the sink and laminate, laying a smooth bead of caulk. Follow it all the way around the sink perimeter.
- 6). Wet your thumb under the sink faucet. Run your thumb along the whole perimeter of the sink, smoothing out the caulk line all the way around. Let the caulk set for 24 hours before using the sink.
