- 1). Prepare the surface of the borosilicate glass. Clean the surface of the glass using a clean cloth to remove any debris or dust.
- 2). Use painter's tape to seal off any areas of the borosilicate you do not want to frost. For example, you may be working with a light fixture made of glass and you only want to frost the top third of the material. Be sure to tape off all of the glass you do not want to frost.
- 3). Cover a large area with old newspapers to protect the flooring from the frosting spray.
- 4). Spray the borosilicate using a semi-permanent frosting spray, which will cover the surface of the glass in an opaque frost. Cover the entire area you want to frost in an even layer of spray. Allow the compound to dry completely before removing the tape. Apply a second coat of frosting spray if the first coat of spray looks uneven or is not thick enough.
