How to Create a DVD Installation Disk for Windows Media Center 2005

    • 1). Insert the Windows operating system disk into your computer and right-click on your desktop. Create a new folder titled "Windows MC2005."

    • 2). Open "My Computer." Click "Tools," open "Folder Options," click the "View" tab, check the box to "Show Hidden Files," and uncheck the box to "Hide Protected Files."

    • 3). Copy all files on the Windows MC2005 DVD to your "Windows MC2005" folder.

    • 4). Open your boot image extractor program and select the drive letter of your DVD drive. Copy the ISO file that appears in the "Windows MC2005" directory.

    • 5). Open your DVD burning program and select the option to create a "Boot DVD." Set the boot image file to the "ISO" file extracted during step four and burn the entire contents of the "Windows MC2005" directory to disk.
