- 1). Hold the USB flash drive so that the write protection button is pointing towards you.
- 2). Touch the tip of a toothpick or the tip of a paper clip to the write protection button.
- 3). Move the button towards the metallic USB port to unlock the flash drive. Pushing it away from the USB port locks the flash drive.
