- 1). Unplug all cables from the back of the Presario computer.
- 2). Unscrew the two screws that are holding the right side of the computer case (as viewed from the back) onto the computer and then remove the side panel.
- 3). Press down on the lever on the hard drive cage and pull it outwards, removing it from the computer.
- 4). Locate the RAM modules on the motherboard underneath the space where the hard drive cage was located. The RAM modules will be long, thin computer chips. Press down on the locking tabs on either end of the modules to release them and then press them firmly back into place until the locking tabs snap back into place.
- 5). Replace the hard drive cage, place the side panel of the computer back on and replace the screws. Plug in the computer and turn it on. It is now ready for use.
