- 1). Knead 8 oz. of polymer clay for five minutes to soften it. Form the kneaded clay into a ball.
- 2). Slice the ball of polymer clay in half using a clay wire.
- 3). Separate the clay halves apart, and place a marble in between the halves. Press the halves back together firmly, then pull them apart again. Remove the marble to reveal the molded impression.
- 4). Place the clay halves, impression side up, onto a cookie sheet. Bake the halves for 10 minutes at 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow them to cool for an additional 20 minutes.
- 5). Press 1 oz. of polymer clay firmly in between the two clay halves, then pull the halves apart to reveal the bead molded clay ball. Remove the clay ball from the mold.
- 6). Insert a toothpick into and out of the clay ball, creating a hole. Smooth the edges of the hole using the tip of the toothpick.
- 7). Place the clay bead onto the cookie sheet, and bake it in a 200 degree Fahrenheit oven for 10 minutes. Allow the bead to cool for 20 minutes.
- 8). Paint the bead using colorful acrylic paint, then allow the paint to dry for 20 minutes. Apply a layer of opalescent acrylic glaze, then allow the glaze to dry for an additional 20 minutes before using the bead in your project.
