- 1). Visit Robert Sabuda's Web site and click on the link that says "Make Your Own Pop-Ups." Scroll to the section that says "Animals." Click on the link for butterfly.
- 2). Print the two pages on cardstock or other heavy paper. The printed sheet with the wing outlines will form the butterfly and the other printed sheet will form the body of the card.
- 3). Decorate the butterfly outline with crayon, paint or with any other suitable material. Cut out the outline when finished.
- 4). Place the card body printout in front of you. Score along the dotted lines with a rounded paperclip end. Score the dotted lines on the tab of the butterfly wings as well. Bend the wing tabs back and forth to loosen them slightly.
- 5). Place a dot of craft glue along the back side of the tab marked "A" on the butterfly wing. Press onto the spot marked "A" on the body of the card.
- 6). Slide the other piece of the butterfly, marked "B" onto part "A" and glue tab "B" into its proper place on the card.
- 7). Allow one hour for the glue to dry and fold the card carefully in half. Open the card and the butterfly will pop up.
