- 1). Verify your machine is deactivated.
- 2). Open the cover. On some models, this cover can be removed entirely. Set it aside in a safe location.
- 3). Locate the pantograph beam. It is a long bracketed bar. Your sash will be attached to this bar with thumbscrews.
- 4). Verify you have the tubular sash on your machine. If you have a different kind of sash, you must switch back to the tubular sash to reset the X axis.
- 5). Push the bar into a position where you can access the screws which are located on the rear cover of the pantograph beam. You do not want to remove the screws that fasten the tubular sash to the front of the pantograph beam by mistake.
- 6). Remove all the screws along the middle of the rear cover using the Phillips-head screwdriver. Carefully place these screws in a safe place, notating precisely which screw came from which hole. Two of these screws will be longer than the others. The total number of screws varies from model to model.
- 7). Find the link arms which connect the pantograph beam to the sash. You will know when you have found them because they each have two Allen-head screws on each side of the arm.
- 8). Loosen the Allen head screws with the Allen wrench. Do not remove the screws, only loosen them.
- 9). Turn on your machine. You will hear it thump as it resets the X axis.

Turn off your machine. - 11
Tighten the Allen-head screws back into place. Then, replace the cover on top of the pantograph beam using the notes you took earlier to make sure that each screw goes in the proper hole.
