- 1). Connect the USB-to-parallel converter into an available USB port on the back of the computer.
- 2). Connect the other end of the parallel port to the printer or other piece of hardware you want to connect to the computer.
- 3). Insert the driver installation disk into the computer. This driver allows the computer to recognize the parallel adapter. In a moment, the driver installation wizard is going to load.
- 4). Follow the prompts of the installation wizard to complete the driver setup. You may need to restart the computer. Upon restart, the computer and hardware connected should work properly. If there is an installation driver for the hardware, you do need to install this also.
