- 1). Measure the length of the walls where the vinyl base will be installed so the proper amount of base material can be purchased. Run a tape measure across the base of the walls and record the measurements.
- 2). Open up a bucket of liquid nails and dip a trowel into the bucket. Turn the vinyl base moulding upside down and begin spreading the liquid nails over the entire surface along the back. Spread it out evenly beginning at one end and working to the other.
- 3). Dip the trowel back into the moulding when necessary and continue until the entire back of the piece is covered with an even, smooth layer.
- 4). Line the piece up along the wall and push it into place along the bottom. Run your hands along the edges of the cove and through the center of the moulding. Press it firmly into place so the liquid nails can adhere to the wall.
- 5). Turn the next piece of vinyl base over and cover it with liquid nails just like the previous piece. Cover it completely and line it up along the wall. Butt it up to the first piece and press it firmly into place just like the first piece. Continue in the same manner around the base of the wall until all of the wall is covered.
