- 1). Wash the plastic item with dish detergent and clean warm water. Towel dry.
- 2). Lay out the painter's plastic on the floor.
- 3). Place the plastic item onto the painter's plastic.
- 4). Shake up the can of spray-on clear coat and remove the lid.
- 5). Spray the plastic starting at the top from left to right slowly, holding the can 8 to 12 inches from the plastic.
- 6). Repeat four more times allowing five to 10 minutes between coatings.
- 7). Allow the clear coat to dry overnight.
