- 1). Unscrew the screws located at the tops and bottoms of the outside face of the metal frame. Remove the metal frame base by giving it a slight tug and pulling it out. Discard.
- 2). Unscrew the strike rail from the strike jamb. The strike rail is a metal strip on the upper inside of the shower that the shower door slides along. Remove the header by unscrewing it from the wall. The header sits in the upper outside of the shower to conceal the strike rail.
- 3). Unscrew the hinge rail and the jamb from either wall. These pieces sit vertically against the shower wall. Pull the doors carefully off the track and remove them. Remove all the metal edging from the shower walls.
- 4). Gently scrape off the silicone caulking around the base and sides of the shower wall, taking care not to damage the tile surface.
