- 1). Load Nero from its installed location.
- 2). Click the "View" button located in the menu bar along the upper portion of the main program window.
- 3). Select the "Recorder" heading from the resulting menu. This will produce a slide-out menu.
- 4). Select the heading "Medium Info" from the slide-out menu.
- 5). Review the media type in the drive from the resulting dialog box. If it is referred to as "CD-Rewritable" then the disc is still open. If it is referred to as "Read only" or "CD" then the media has been closed from a previous burning session.
