- 1). Scuff sand the wood where the Plexiglas will be attached by hand with medium-grit sandpaper. You only need to rough up the wood surface enough for the epoxy to adhere well to the surface. Be careful when sanding near edges that you do not curve the edge.
- 2). Wipe away the sanding dust with a microfiber cloth.
- 3). Clean the Plexiglas with rubbing alcohol to ensure the surface is completely free of dust and oils.
- 4). Apply a thin coat of epoxy to the wood and place the Plexiglas in position on the wood. Be prepared to hold the Plexiglas in place until the epoxy sets or use clamps to hold the Plexiglas in place. Setting time will vary depending on temperature and humidity, but use the epoxy manufacturer's recommendation for estimated setting time.
