- 1). Press the printer's "Power" button to turn the printer on. Before proceeding, confirm the printer is on by making sure the "Power" button is illuminated.
- 2). Remove the power cord from the back of the printer. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet as well.
- 3). Allow the printer and the unplugged power cord to sit for at least 15 seconds. This waiting period starts once you have unplugged the power cord from the electrical outlet, not once you unplug it from the printer.
- 4). Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. Reinsert the power cord into the port in the back of the printer, making sure both connections do not wobble.
- 5). Press the "Power" button on the printer's control panel, but only if the printer does not turn on by itself.
