- 1). Measure the length of the tiled area you plan to edge. Mark the middle.
- 2). Spread tiling adhesive over the back of an edge tile with a notched tiling trowel.
- 3). Set the edge tile onto the wall alongside the center mark next to the tiles you are edging, so the finished edge of the tile faces outward from it. Put two tile spacers between the edge tile and the standard tile, to create a space.
- 4). Spread tile adhesive over the back of a second edge tile. Press it to the wall next to the first tile with the finished side in the same position as the first one. Set spacers between the two tiles.
- 5). Repeat the process for the rest of the tiles along the edge, building out in both directions along the line. Cut the tiles at the ends on a tile cutter as needed to fit.
- 6). Let the adhesive set for 12 hours. Pull out the spacers.
- 7). Spread grout onto the tiles using a grout float, pressing the grout into the gaps between them. Wipe up the residual grout with a dampened sponge.
