- 1). Open the conversion software on the computer by double-clicking the name of the program.
- 2). Click the "Browse" or "File" tab to locate and highlight the DVR-MS file for conversion.
- 3). Select the "Convert to DVD" or "Convert to MPEG" option, depending on the software.
- 4). Type a new name for the file to be converted so it is easy to distinguish from the original DVR-MS file, then click "Convert" to change the file format.
- 5). Place a blank, recordable DVD in the computer's media tray, close the tray, then open the software that manages the DVD burner.
- 6). Click the "File" tab on the DVD burner software, select "Add Items" and highlight a video file to burn.
- 7). Type a name for the new DVD, if desired, in the blank field near the bottom of the screen, then click "Next."
- 8). Review the video file in the preview pane, if desired, then click "Start Burn."
