- 1). Mount the CCTV camera in any location you want to record. The actual mounting process is going to vary, depending on the camera you are using. Check its user manual for proper installation.
- 2). Attach the coaxial cable into the "Out" port on the rear of the CCTV camera, then insert the free end into one of the "In" ports on the security DVR. Most security DVRs have multiple connection ports. This allows you to record several video camera feeds at the same time.
- 3). Repeat the connection process with all of the CCTV security cameras.
- 4). Insert another coaxial cable into the "Out" port on the security DVR, then plug the opposite end into the "In" port on the TV monitor.
- 5). Turn on the security DVR and the monitor. The live video feed appears on the television screen, while the DVR records the information.
