- 1). Sprinkle sawdust or kitty litter over any visible oil spots. Remove it after several hours when it has a chance to soak up the majority of the oil.
- 2). Pour 1 gallon of warm water into a bucket. Add 2 tbsp. liquid soap, 2 tbsp. borax and 1 cup white vinegar.
- 3). Scrub the concrete with the solution using a long-handled scrub brush.
- 4). Empty the bucket of solution.
- 5). Refill the bucket with water. Scrub the floor again to rinse it. Or, if possible, hose the floor down with a stiff spray.
- 6). Allow the slab to air dry. If you still smell oil several hours after the slab has dried, clean it again with the borax mixture..
