Comparison of Broom Sweeper Vacuums

    Weight And Size

    • Broom sweeper vacuums can range in height from 25.5 to 45 inches. Smaller models, like the Eureka 166DX Boss, can weigh as little as 4 lbs., while the taller vacuums can weigh up to 10.7 lbs.

    Power

    • Broom sweeper vacuums come in both electric and rechargeable models. Electric models have 7-amp to 12-amp motors. Rechargeable vacuums operate on battery packs ranging from 6 to 18 volts.

    Features

    • Most broom sweeper vacuums have a bagless design and come with a dirt cup that you can empty out and wash. Many models can be used on both carpet and bare floors, but some may be designated for hard surfaces only. Some offer a low-profile design to make it easier to vacuum under furniture.

Electric models have power cords ranging from 15 to 30 feet; at least one model has a retractable cord (the Eureka 166DX Boss). Some rechargeable models offer a fast-charging feature and/or battery life display.

A few models, like the Eureka Easy Clean Stick Vacuum and Dirt Devil Swift Stick, offer attachments like crevice tools. Others include a fold-down handle or a loop handle for easier storage. The Dirt Devil BRUM offers power controls at your fingertips, so you don't have to bend down to turn the vacuum on or off.

A filtration system may also be included on a broom sweeper vacuum.

    Colors

    • There's no shortage of color choices among broom sweeper vacuums. Available options include red, champagne, spice, chocolate, bright yellow, tangerine, blue, purple and silver.

    Cost

    • The cost of these vacuums varies based on their size and the features they include. A small model may cost as little as $23, while taller vacuums can start at around $40 and go as high as $280 for a rechargeable model.

    Warranty

    • Most broom sweeper vacuums come with a one- or two-year warranty, but at least one model offers six years of coverage.
