What Colors Go With Black Leather Furniture?

    Red

    • Red is just as dynamic as black and, together, the two make a striking pair. On the walls, red is not shy and, if you go with red, make sure it matches the same shades as the rest of the colors in your palette. Tomato red and Moroccan red coordinate with black leather, but they are very different. Go with the shade that enhances your decor. With white walls, red accents pop with life. Red, black and white create a polished, modern look. If you have a taste for Asian flair, this color combination is ideal.

    Beige

    • Beige is neutral and coordinates with black furnishings by toning them down. This color combination is far from boring, as long as you consider your options. Beige shades are warm and calm, and these aspects make it work in large and small rooms with any kind of decorating style. Sand, honey, tan, bisque and buff are options for walls. Use samples with green and yellow undertones to find the one that works best with your decor and the lighting in your room. Beige and black give you a host of options for accent colors, including blue, green, orange and gray.

    Yellow

    • Yellow provides a pleasing contrast to black, and it gives rooms a lift. Yellow doesn't have to be shockingly bright but, with black furniture, it is exciting. If bright is too much, consider a pale shade of yellow. Mustard yellow adds warmth and dimension to your room, while a sunny yellow is nothing but fun. Choose a shade that balances the room.

    Purple

    • For an elegant and modern aesthetic, try purple. From lavender to burgundy, purple adds intensity. Not too feminine, purple adds an element of softness without being girly. Lilac and violet are attractive because they lighten the look and feel of a room decorated with black furniture. Don't go too dark with purple, as the black will tend to blend in with the color, blurring lines and creating a sense of unease.
