Pot Not Percolating Correctly

• 1). Inspect the base of the pump tube. The washer should be free floating.
  
  
• 2). Wash the base of the pump tube under hot water, if the washer is clogged with coffee grounds.
  
  
• 3). Ensure that all grounds are removed between the base and the washer.
  
  

Removing Bitter Taste

• 1). Pour vinegar into the coffee pot until it is half-full.
  
  
• 2). Fill the remainder of the pot with cold water and assemble the stem and basket into place. Cover the pot with the lid.
  
  
• 3). Set the coffee pot on the base and press the "On" button to begin the brewing process.
  
  
• 4). Pour out the vinegar solution after the brewing is complete.
  
  
• 5). Brew a pot of plain cold water in the pot and then wash the pot as normal.
