- 1). Click on the Apple logo from the menu at the top left of the screen of your Mac.
- 2). Click on "Dock," and then click "Dock Preferences." The Dock's preferences panel appears.
- 3). Click on the "Size" slider and drag it between "Small" and "Large" to adjust the size of the icons in the Dock. Click the "Magnification" checkbox if you want icons in the dock to magnify as you run your mouse over them. Drag the slider from "Min" to "Max" to adjust the magnification size.
- 4). Click "Left," "Bottom" or "Right" in the Position on Screen option to set where the Dock appears on the Mac's screen. If you position it on the bottom, the dock will be longer, so each icon will have more room and will appear larger than if you position the dock on the left or right. If you position the dock on the left or right, you will have a little more vertical room on your screen when you are viewing documents.
- 5). Click "Turn Hiding On" to make the Dock disappear when you are not using it. When this setting is enabled, the dock appears when you move the mouse near the edge of the screen where the Dock is situated, and hides when you move the mouse away.
- 6). Click the red circle at the top left of the Dock Preferences panel to close it.
