- 1). Fold the blanket in half lengthwise.
- 2). Measure the length of the wearer from the back of the neck to the knees. Mark this measurement on the blanket. Cut off the excess and set aside.
- 3). Wrap the rest of the blanket around the wearer. Mark the shoulders with the pencil on the blanket.
- 4). Fold the excess material in half. Mark the length of the arms and cut, making sleeves for the Capote coat.
- 5). Cut out armholes on the main fabric. Attach the sleeves to the armholes and sew into place.
- 6). Hem the edges of the coat and sleeves.
