How to Remove Personal Security From Windows

    End System Process

    • 1). Press the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "Esc" keys at the same time to launch the Task Manager.

    • 2). Click the "Processes" tab in Task Manager's window to view the system processes running in the background.

    • 3). Click "psecurity.exe" in the "Processes" box and then the "End Process" button.

    • 4). Close the Task Manager.

    Remove Registry Entries

    • 1). Click the "Start" menu, type "regedit" in the "Start Search" box and press "Enter" to start the Registry Editor. This is also a built-in utility for system registry management.

    • 2). Browse to the following registry entries and delete them:

      HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{35A5B43B-CB8A-49CA-A9F4-D3B308D2E3CC}

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\5FFB10D58FFCF482208906E6A889FD56

      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "PSecurity"

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\post platform "WinTSI 01.12.2009"

    • 3). Close the Registry Editor.

    Unregister the DLL

    • 1). Go to the "Start" menu, type "cmd" in the "Start Search" box and press "Enter" to start the command line prompt.

    • 2). Type "regsvr32 /u filename.dll" in the command line prompt window and press "Enter" to unregister the DLL (Dynamic-Link Library) file.

    • 3). Close the command line window.

    Delete Files

    • 1). Go to the "Start" menu, type "psecurity.exe" in the "Start Search" box and press "Enter." Delete all search results.

    • 2). Repeat Step 1 for "Uninstall.lnk," "win32extension.dll," "Computer Scan.lnk," "Help.lnk," "Personal Security.lnk," "Registration.lnk," "Settings.lnk," "Update.lnk" and "PSecurity."

    • 3). Restart your computer when finished.
