- 1). Clean up all spills immediately using paper towels. Wipe down the countertop daily using a soft cloth and warm water.
- 2). Spot treat any stains with a mild detergent. Spray cleaner directly onto the stain, soak for 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
- 3). Wipe down the countertop with the damp washcloth to remove any residue leftover from the detergent. Allow it to air dry.
- 1). Remove all materials, decorations and appliances from the countertops. Dust all dirt and debris off of the counter with a soft, dry cloth.
- 2). Prepare a mixture of mild detergent and warm water in the kitchen sink. Soak the dry cloth in the mixture, and ring out excess water. Wipe down the entire surface of the counter including the backsplash.
- 3). Inspect the counter for signs of wear. Locate stains and areas that need special attention during cleaning.
- 4). Spray stains directly with the mild detergent, soak for 10 minutes and rinse. Stubborn stains may require a couple of soaking with the detergent before they lift completely. Prepare a paste using warm water and baking soda. Scrub grout lines, corners and around the sink using a toothbrush dipped in the baking soda mixture. Rinse completely, and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- 5). Apply wax to the counter surface in a circular motion. Any car wax will work perfectly. Wait the recommended amount of time according to the product instructions. Buff the counter and remove the wax with a soft, dry cloth using a circular motion.
