- 1). Hold down "CTRL," "ALT" and "Delete." This loads the windows Task Manager. Look through the list of all the tasks running and select anything that has "antispyware" listed, then click "Stop Task."
- 2). Click "Start," then "(My) Computer." Double-click the "C:" icon, then choose "Program Files." Look through the list of program files until you find "XP AntiSpyware." Right-click the file and select "Remove."
- 3). Return to the "C:" drive, then select your user profile. Click "Start Menu," "Programs" and look for the "XP AntiSpyware" listing. Right-click this folder and choose "Delete" also.
- 4). Click "Start" then "Run" to open the Windows Run window. If you are using Windows Vista/7 hold down the "Windows" button, then choose "R" to load the window. Type in "regedit" and press "Enter" to launch the Registry Editor. Select "HKEY_Current_USER," then click "Software." Double-click "Secure Solutions," then delete all of the "XPAntispyware" items in the list.
- 5). Return to the "Software" listing, then click "Secure Solutions," and delete all of the "XPAntispyware" listings.
