- 1). Open the Windows control panel. In the folder there is an icon labelled "Regional and Language Options". Double-click on this icon.
- 2). Select the "Keyboard and Languages" option from the tabs at the top of the window. In the options that appear, click on the "Change Keyboards" button to open the "Text Services and Input Languages" window.
- 3). Add the Thai Language. Select the "Add" button and click on it to bring up a new window. Of the choices available under Thai, select the "Thai Kedmanee" keyboard layout. This keyboard layout is the most commonly used keyboard among Thai users. Select "OK" to save this setting and exit the window.
- 4). Mark the keyboard. If you are not using a pre-marker keyboard with the Thai alphabet already laid out on the keys, click on the "Preview" option in the language section, which will show you the Thai Kedmanee keyboard layout. Using this as a guide, mark the keyboard keys with stickers to show the user the keys for typing Thai letters.
- 5). Change the computer's input language to Thai. On the Windows taskbar next to the the system tray, a new language bar will appear. Select this and from the language options that appear in a pop-up window, select "Thai." The keyboard will now write Thai script on the PC.
