Used laptops naturally suffer a little bit of minor damage over the course of their lives.
But the simple step of replace keys can make so much difference.
The laptops are really overtaking their desktop brethren in terms of usage worldwide.
They are easy to move around and great to look at.
But they suffer other problems in their place.
For example, they aren't so sturdy.
Ask anyone who's dropped one.
But those keyboard keys are a little more prone to the kinds of damage that used to be reserved for notebooks.
Everybody knows that spilling soda, coffee or beer all over your laptop may cause the death of it.
All sorts of spills can leave a keyboard useless.
Use an absorbent cloth to blot up any standing liquid.
Then take a few simple steps to do what needs to be done to take your laptop from dead to life again.
Read as we have outlined here: 1) First, shut down the laptop.
remove the power cords and any connected devices that may be attached, such as a printer, external drives, or usb devices.
Take note that there is a cable connected to the keyboard and the motherboard.
Release it, and any other connectors you may see.
But try to remember where they go.
2) You already have the brand new keyboard.
Make sure the keyboard is lined up so when you flip it back over the keys are in the correct position.
Keep the ribbon straight at all times and place the ribbon in the connector.
Make sure everything is tight and in place.
That means making sure the connectors are adequately positioned so that they won't slip out.
Also, replace that old battery, which doesn't work either.
3) Finally, when you are doing this, be careful.
You don't want to wind up with an expensive paperweight.
And the possibility of breaking the computer is pretty great.
