How to Get Autofill on a Toolbar

    Google Toolbar

    • 1). Download the free Google toolbar from Google's website. Google provides an autofill option that completes online forms when you click the icon. Visit the website to start the download. (See "Resources").

    • 2). Click the "Install Google Toolbar" button. Read the Google Terms of Service and click the "Agree and Install" button if you agree. If you receive a message that prevents Google from communicating, click "Allow" to proceed.

    • 3). Click the "Install Now" button in the "Software Installation" window. Alternatively, click "Run" if you use Internet Explorer.

    • 4). Click the "Restart Firefox" button to complete the process. Click the "Restart" button in the pop-up window to confirm. Alternatively, close and restart Internet Explorer to ensure proper installation.

    • 5). Click "View," point to "Toolbars" and click "Google Toolbar" on the menu bar if the toolbar does not appear.

    • 6). Click the autofill icon and then click "Add/Edit Profiles" to set up your profile and begin using the feature.

    IE AutoFill 3.41

    • 1). Download the IE AutoFill 3.41 software (see "Resources") from the SoftTag website. Click the "Download" link in the lower-right corner. The installation works on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 2003.

    • 2). Double click the downloaded zip file to open it. Double click the "Setup.exe" file icon.

    • 3). Click "Run" in the "File Download-Security Warning" box.

    • 4). Click the "Next" button in the installation wizard. Accept the terms of agreement and click "Next." Follow the remaining prompts to complete the installation.

    • 5). Click the "Start" button and then click "Turn Off Computer." Click "Restart" to complete the process. Open Internet Explorer and click the autofill icon to begin using the feature.

    Firefox Autofill Add-on

    • 1). Go to the Firefox Autofill Forms add-on page (see "Resources"). Download the file by clicking the "Download Now" button. Then click the "Add to Firefox" button (previously the "Download Now" button).

    • 2). Click "Install Now" in the pop-up window.

    • 3). Click the "Restart Firefox" button and click "Restart" again if prompted to complete the installation.
