- 1). Click "Start," right-click "Computer," and click "Manage."
- 2). Click "Disk Management" under "Storage."
- 3). Right-click the partition you want to alter in the list of disk storage areas. Each physical drive will have its own line, and each partition contained within a drive will be labeled as a different block within that line.
- 4). Click "Shrink Volume" to reduce the size of the partition. If you choose this option, enter a value under "Enter the Amount of Space to Shrink in MB" to reduce the partition size by the amount you enter, click "Shrink" and confirm the changes.
- 5). Click "Extend Volume" to increase the size of the partition. An extend partition wizard will appear. Click "Next," select the drive you want to extend in the list and click "Add" if it is not already selected. Enter a number in the "Select the Amount of Space in MB" field up to the amount listed as "Maximum Available Space in MB," click "Next" and click "Finish."
