- 1). Close all of your programs on your computer.
- 2). Click the "Start" button in the bottom left of your desktop.
- 3). Click "Run." Type "Appwiz.cpl" and click "OK."
- 4). Select the "Show Updates" check box.
- 5). Click "Windows Service Pack 2" and click "Remove." The name may have the name of your operating system in it. Follow the prompts to completely remove the service pack.
- 6). Restart your computer.
