- 1). Add candle dye to the beeswax when you melt it. This is probably the simplest way to get your beeswax to a uniform darkness. You can get candle dye from craft supply stores.
- 2). Mix charcoal dust with your beeswax when it is melted. You may end up with a more gritty texture in the finished product but if you use natural wood charcoal, it keeps your product 100% natural.

Hold your finished beeswax creation over a burning match. It might take a few matches and create an uneven finish but the soot from the matches will blacken your beeswax craft.
