- 1). Open your Terminal (accessing this differs depending on what distribution you use, check documentation if in doubt).
- 2). Type "dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/path/to/your.iso" replacing "cdrom" with "dvd" if it is a dvd.
- 3). Replace "path/to" with your designated folder for your ISO and replace "your" with your chosen file name.
- 4). Press "Enter" to create your disk image (ISO) of the disk.
