- 1). Shake the container of your tile sealer remover to mix all the chemicals thoroughly. If your tile sealer remover requires diluting the formula with water, be sure to do so now by pouring the water and the sealer remover into a plastic bucket and mixing it with your hands (wear cleaning gloves).
- 2). Dip a new sponge into the sealer remover and massage it into a small area on a tile in the corner, so if something goes wrong the mishap won't be easily noticed.
- 3). Allow the sealer remover to sit on the tile for up to one hour. If the sealer remover starts to dry out, add more. You do not want the sealer to dry over the one-hour span.
- 4). Take a scrub brush over the test area and work it back and forth over the sealer remover.
- 5). Rinse the area with water and wipe dry. Inspect to see if the glossy look has been removed but the color remained. If the sealer remover worked properly, proceed and use it over the entire tile area.
