- 1). Restart your PC and hold down the "F8" key while the system reboots.
- 2). Use the up and down arrow keys to select the "Safe Mode with a Command prompt" option from the boot menu.
- 3). Hit the "Enter" key to boot the computer into Safe Mode with a command prompt.
- 4). Log on to the computer with an administrator account.
- 5). Type "%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe" into the command line window and hit "Enter." The System Restore tool will now launch and allow you to revert your computer to a previous state.
