Sew buttons and attach pins along the lanyard. Avoid placing pins on the area that touches your neck, as this may cause discomfort. - 2). Place iron-on letters that fit onto the lanyard. Following the manufacturer's directions and iron letters onto the lanyard to spell a company name, concert venue or your own name.
- 3). Paint polka dots, stripes, zigzags or other shapes on the lanyard with a small brush and fabric paint. Use lighter colors, like neon or white, on dark lanyards, and dark colors, like black or navy, on light lanyards. Let the paint dry before wearing.
- 4). Squeeze puffy paint shapes, words and other designs on the lanyard for a three-dimensional effect. Use several colors for a multi-colored look. When squeezing dollops, pull the puffy paint nozzle up to create a point for a spiky effect.

Add glitter squeeze-on glue to the lanyard. Create a single racer stripe all the way around the lanyard or make several stripes in gold, silver, copper and other glitter glue colors.
